Join Oasis for a night of tabletop games from 7-10 PM at a local game store, Paragon City Games. It is a great night to spend extra time with friends. A variety of games are available to play from 30 minutes to 2 hours. As this is a newer gaming group, entry level games will be available with someone who should be familiar with the rules. Eric will be one point of contact if you are showing up the first time.

To get a sense of some of the games we play, here are some examples: Lucky Numbers, Code Names, 7 Wonders, Carcassonne, Nuns on the Run, Tobago, Ticket to Ride, Niagara, Splendor, Dominion, Ninjato, Kingdom Builder, Pandemic. 

We are open to many game suggestions as we meet regularly, we hope to explore many games together.

Community Campout: Oasis Overnight Campout

Come Join us on the overnight campout at a local campground. Specific location can be obtained in community email or in person at Oasis meeting. If you cannot camp out over night or do not want to camp over night, you can come socialize the first evening or next morning.

Please RSVP as parking is limited. No payment is required. We would prefer people just show up. If you want to make a contribution to the expense of the campsite we recommend a donation of $20 per household. 

Checkin starts at 3 PM on August 10th.

This week we our doing a BBQ Potluck Social as our event to replace our normal Sunday Gathering. This is great way to spend time in conversation as we eat together outside in Millcreek Canyon. Human Hands: Holding Out Help - Yard Work

Details

Cleaning and yard work from 10-12 in the morning. Bring your own yard tools to clean, trim, gather, dispose, and wash. Bring gloves, racks, shovels, garbage bags, clippers, etc. Kids are welcome under parent guidance and supervision. We are excited to support these residents who are working on integrating into society after leaving an isolated life in a polygamous community.

Also, consider bringing individually portioned snacks for the residents as a donation to support them in their daily routines.

Community Lunch: BBQ Potluck Social

This week we our doing a BBQ Potluck Social as our event to replace our normal Sunday Gathering. This is great way to spend time in conversation as we eat together outside. Bring food in a potluck style, or for yourself if you prefer. There is a playground nearby for the kids to enjoy. The pavilion is reserved for our group. Come enjoy conversation, food, and drinks together.
